We provide professional training in First Aid/CPR, Defensive Driving, Abuse Prevention, Passenger Assistance, Child-Passenger Restraint and Stretcher Transportation Assistance, offering both in-person classes and hybrid online options to fit your schedule. In addition to full certification programs, we also offer refresher courses to help individuals and organizations stay compliant and confident in their skills. First AID/CPR/AED Training
Minnesota STS drivers are required to complete CPR and First Aid training within 45 days of starting their role. The course teaches life-saving skills such as managing bleeding, treating shock, handling airway emergencies, and recognizing sudden illnesses. Refresher training is required every three years to maintain certification and ensure passenger safety. We offer a certified Red Cross course, by a certified Red Cross Trainer.
Abuse Prevention
Minnesota STS drivers and attendants are required to complete Abuse Prevention Training within 45 days of starting their role. The course teaches how to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse, neglect, or misconduct involving vulnerable passengers. Participants learn proper reporting procedures and how to maintain a safe, respectful environment for all riders. Completion ensures compliance with state regulations and helps protect the safety and dignity of every passenger.
Defensive Driving
Our Defensive Driving Training meets Minnesota’s STS requirements for drivers within their first 45 days of service. This 4-hour course covers safe driving practices, hazard awareness, vehicle inspections, and accident prevention strategies. Drivers learn how to anticipate risks, adapt to weather and traffic conditions, and protect vulnerable passengers. Completion ensures compliance with state rules and promotes safer transportation for all riders.
Child Passenger Restraint Training
This course provides hands-on instruction for Minnesota Special Transportation Service (STS) drivers and attendants who transport young passengers requiring child restraint systems. Participants will learn how to properly select, install, and secure child safety seats and booster seats in compliance with state laws and MnDOT requirements. The training emphasizes correct usage, safe loading and unloading procedures, and compliance with Minnesota child passenger safety regulations.
Passenger Assistance Training
Our Passenger Assistance Training meets Minnesota’s Special Transportation Services (STS) requirements for drivers and attendants. Participants learn safe passenger handling, wheelchair and equipment use, and respectful communication with seniors and people with disabilities. Refresher training is required every three years to stay certified.
Stretcher Assistance
This hands-on training prepares Minnesota Special Transportation Service (STS) drivers and attendants to safely and professionally assist passengers transported on stretchers. Participants learn safe lifting, loading, and securement techniques, along with best practices for communication, passenger comfort, and compliance with MnDOT requirements.
